TRUCKS IN TEXAS: Pickups At The 2022 Houston Auction

When you think of the most American vehicles, often muscle cars from the ’60s and ’70s come to mind, but one could argue that nothing is more quintessentially American than the pickup truck. Pickup trucks have evolved from basic transportation used by tradespeople and farmers to daily drivers tasked with hauling everything from a few bags of groceries to bicycles and the occasional piece of furniture.

As The Lone Star State plays host to Barrett-Jackson’s 2022 Houston Auction, the docket is full of a full spectrum of pickup trucks — from those early work horses to modern show machines and everything in between.

America’s love affair with the pickup has blossomed to the point that it has become one of the fastest growing segments in the industry. No doubt this rise in popularity is due to the range of automakers offering various sizes and shapes, along with massive support from different aftermarket part companies. People can choose from models celebrated as rugged off-road warriors to family haulers with all the creature comforts of a luxury vehicle.
